Cooking with an Air Fryer has been a great addition to our kitchen
repertoire. This appliance is easy enough to use that you can teach
your kids to cook with it. It is a healthier and quick way to
prepare meals and snacks. You can also warm up frozen foods such as
chicken or mini pizzas. Our favorite so far is cooking frozen sweet
potato fries in the air fryer.

Why an Air Fryer?
Not only is using an air fryer healthier it is easy to clean up
after. If you have ever used a deep fryer you'll find the air fryer
1000% easier to cook with and clean up after. No large amounts of
oil, no waiting for the hot oil to cool down and pouring the cooled
oil in a container. Then scrubbing the deep fryer and kitchen
cabinets when done from all the splattered grease. The main
difference in an air fryer versus a deep fryer is the air is frying
your food instead of oil. This makes for fewer calories and more
healthy options.
Air Fryer Recipes
Here are a few recipes to try in an air fryer.
Fried Broccoli
Air frying broccoli makes it crispy on the outside. Preheat your air
fryer for several minutes. Prep your broccoli florets by washing and
soaking in water, drain and towel dry. You want to get rid of any
excess water. You can spin them in a lettuce spinner if you have
one. Season the broccoli with salt and pepper, garlic and/or Italian
seasoning. Place in an air fryer. Cook broccoli for about 10
minutes.
Mozzarella Sticks
Mozzarella sticks are a kid favorite so how about trying them air
fried. To prep cut mozzarella cheese sticks in half. Beat an egg in
a small bowl and dip cheese sticks in the egg to coat. Now roll
sticks in a small bowl of grated Parmesan. Roll around to coat.
Repeat with dipping in egg again and then in Parmesan. Place in an
air fryer and bake for 5 minutes.
Fried Green Beans
Season fresh green beans with salt and pepper. In a large bowl toss
beans with a beaten egg. Sprinkle dried bread crumbs over beans and
shake to coat. Place in an air fryer and bake for 5 minutes.
